REF’s picks

Aldershot Town should assert their higher-tier quality on home turf after being held to a surprise 2-2 draw by Tadley Calleva in the initial FA Cup qualifier. The visitors showed tremendous spirit in that first meeting at Barlow's Park, but playing away against a professional National League side on their own patch will be a bridge too far over 90 minutes.

1. 1Aldershot hold a clear advantage in squad depth and league status compared to their non-league opponents.
2. 2Tadley Calleva proved they can score goals and fight hard, but sustaining that level away from home is extremely difficult.
3. 3Fatigue and defensive vulnerabilities could catch up with Tadley as the match wears on, exposing spaces for the hosts.
